Revive in the Heat: The Science and Luxury of Infrared Sauna

By Jeff Jasso, Co-Founder, Revival Boxing Fitness & Wellness

At Revival Boxing Fitness & Wellness, boxing and fitness may be our vehicle but recovery is a foundation not to be ignored.

Performance without restoration leads to breakdown. True longevity requires rhythm: stress, recover, adapt, grow. That’s why our Infrared Sauna Suites are not an add-on. They are an integral part of the Revival experience. This is not just heat. This is cellular renewal in a private, elevated environment.

Traditional saunas heat the air to extreme temperatures, often 180–200°F. Infrared saunas work differently. Instead of superheating the air, infrared light gently penetrates the body’s tissues, warming you from the inside out.

Our saunas utilize full-spectrum infrared technology where Near Infrared (NIR) supports skin health and cellular repair, Mid Infrared (MIR) enhances circulation and oxygen delivery, Far Infrared (FIR) promotes deep tissue relaxation and detoxification.

This spectrum allows for deeper physiological benefits at more comfortable temperatures and longer, more effective sessions.

At Revival, we recommend 30 minutes per session which allows your core temperature to elevate, your cardiovascular system to activate, and your body to enter a therapeutic sweat phase. Revival recommends 120–140°F for relaxation and beginners, 140–150°F for deeper sweat and muscle recovery, and advanced users may comfortably tolerate up to 150–165°F. Our general recommendation for most members is 30 minutes at 135–145°F.  We place an emphasis on hydration before and after. Add light stretching post-session to amplify circulation and mobility benefits. Consistency matters more than intensity. Three to five sessions per week produce the most noticeable results.

Infrared sauna use has been associated with:

  • Increased circulation

  • Reduced inflammation

  • Faster muscle recovery

  • Cardiovascular conditioning

  • Reduced stress and cortisol

  • Improved sleep quality

  • Detoxification through sweat

  • Support for mitochondrial efficiency

For our boxers, executives, and performance-driven members, this translates into:

  • Clearer thinking

  • Better recovery between workouts

  • Improved resilience under stress

  • Sustainable energy

Each infrared sauna at Revival is housed in a private suite, allowing you to control your temperature, your environment, and your experience. You can watch a show on the in-suite TV, listen to music or a podcast, practice breathwork, and reflect, decompress, or meditate. For thirty minutes, the outside world can pause. This is not a rushed spa visit. This is intentional recovery.

Members integrate sauna sessions:

  • After boxing circuit or strength training

  • On active recovery days

  • Before cold plunge for contrast therapy

  • In the evening to enhance sleep

  • During high-stress periods to regulate the nervous system

Used strategically, sauna sessions amplify the results of everything you do in fitness. We train hard. We recover intelligently. We pursue longevity intentionally. Boxing builds grit. Strength builds resilience. Recovery builds sustainability. Your 30-minute infrared session is not indulgence; it is discipline. Step in.  Heat up.  Reset your system.
